Building wheels

One of the ongoing projects that I have had with building this bike has been the wheels. From finding the right front hub, to tracking down the vintage 70's deep dish akronts, I have been working on these wheels for as long as I have been building this bike. I finally got all the pieces together and had a chance build the wheels. Here is the rear wheel before being assembled.



Here is the front wheel after assembly



Both wheels fully assembled. Awaiting freshly packed bearings and truing.



A brand new set of Avon Speedmasters. 3.00x21 up front and 4.00x18 out back.



Here's the rear wheel waiting for the new rubber.




And here they are all together and with the new rubber mounted up.
