Crooked ass'd sh!t

One last pic for tonight. I spent way too much time cutting, grinding and filing to make this fit together nicely to realize that it was bent after the fact. The goal was to get a 1/2" out of the steering stem to update an older style frame with a newer front end (ie. disc brake). At least I have an extra steering stem laying around....that isn't crooked or bent.

We've got gas

This is the second tank that I got for this bike. Originally I was going with a high tunnel Wassell peanut knockoff, but decided I wanted to go with the low tunnel look. As luck would have it, I found an original Wassell tank and was able to get it mounted up this past weekend. Check it out and let me know what you think.

In hindsight, I should have gotten a full on profile shot of the bike....maybe next week.

Brakes and Sprockets

I know it's been awhile since I updated this thing, but some work has been going on the chopper and I'll do a little catching up right now.

First up is the front disc brake. The caliper on there isn't permanently mounted. I need to find the hardware....it's in the shed somewhere. Check out the buttonhead SS hardware on the disc mount...I think it adds a nice touch.

Up next is the rear wheel. I had my buddy Dan bead blast the sprocket and I cleaned up the hardware to make it look presentable. Hopefully the finish holds up once this thing has a few miles on it.
